At Shell Port, we take pride in the fact that we are truly a family store. Not only from an operations standpoint but from also a product standpoint. Tom and Debbie Frowert started Shell Port in 1977 in a tiny 500 sq. ft. store on the west end of the beach. It was no more than a room with a single window unit air conditioner and a couple of tables full of seashells. Now, and over thirty years later, it is still run by them and their family. The store has multiplied to a 7500 sq. ft. location carrying everything imaginable that is nautical in nature. This is where Shell Port truly shows it colors as a family store and differentiates itself from other stores on the beach. We don’t carry any offensive images or language in our store. Children of all ages are welcome from 6 months to 16 years old; we encourage you to bring them in with you to experience our store. |

You don’t have to worry about being embarrassed or putting your hand over their eyes to hide vulgar material as you simply won’t find it here. However, what you will find here is something that will truly take your breath away. We have the largest selection of seashells that you will find anywhere in North Florida. From the giant Clams, Conchs, and Corals, to the tiniest Auger and Nutmeg shells and then to everything in between, we have it. An exhaustive list would be simply too much to read, but other items of interest include shell and sterling silver jewelry, gifts and décor from all parts of the world, t-shirts, shorts, shark teeth necklaces, windchimes, and the ever popular pirate themed gifts and items.
