At Shell Port, we have been selling hermit crabs for almost 25 years now and would like to think that we have become the “resident experts” in these cute little critters here on the beach.

At the “other” stores, you will notice that their hermit crab areas are cluttered, dirty, cramped, and just plain messy. Some places won’t even go to the trouble of putting gravel on the bottom of their cage and make the poor crabs walk around on the bare glass tank bottom.

Crabs are continuously fed and watered, and daily housekeeping on our “crab pen” ensures that the area stays clean and disease free. While it’s impossible to guarantee the life of any animal for an extended period of time, the crabs you purchase from us will be the healthiest and happiest crabs you can get anywhere else on the beach.
